  • The Business of Being Born  available on Netflix.  Probably one of the biggest influences in bringing homebirth to the attention of mainstream America.
  • No One Told Me a beautiful documentary of the postpartum period for a set of new parents.  We highly recommend this to all our first time parents!
  • Freedom For Birth  This documentary explores Childbirth as a human rights issue around the world.
  • Birth Story  The story of Ina May Gaskin, a pioneer in modern midwifery, and The Farm, where she works.
  • The Greater Good  A documentary about vaccines and the industry around it. It is biased against vaccines, but the creators were careful to interview and allow all points of view speak for themselves.

  • Midwife Thinking  Rachel Reed explores many aspects of childbirth and presents well-researched thoughts and explanations.
  • Evidence Based Birth  Rebbecca Dekker presents spectacular summaries of the latest research in childbirth so that parents can be informed and hold their providers to the standard of evidence-based care.
  • Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists RCOG is one of our go-to places to look at studies and true evidence-based practice guidelines.  
  • Spinning Babies is another go-to to help babies be in an optimal position both prenatally and during birth.
